THRIVE MAAS

Thrive is a cloud based Mobility-as-a-Service solution (MaaS) which offers a full scheme management solution that ensure that all journeys are managed from booking to billing.

Thrive has been developed in partnership with community based car and dial-a-ride schemes and Monmouthshire County Council to ensure that the needs of a range of stakeholders are being achieved.

It sets itself apart by taking an innovative approach to the way that demand responsive services are offered, encouraging consolidation of use and optimising both routes and vehicle utilisation. Thrive have seen peer-to-peer lift sharing as key to the unlocking of the untapped potential in community transport for villages not served by traditional transport modalities such as busses or trains.  The lack of public transport options can often be compounded by low availability and resultant high cost of taxi transport creating true transport deserts.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To being together in to a single access point disparate transport solutions within a locality such as public transport, supported transport including community car schemes and dial-a-ride, and to introduce an innovative peer-to-peer lift sharing scheme – TagAlong™.

To increase use of, and participation in, community and public transport schemes to increase sustainability of the services and to leverage transport as a means to reduce isolation and loneliness with a focus on rural locations.

To bring efficiencies to the coordination of community transport schemes increasing the sustainability of the schemes, and freeing team members from repetitive admin tasks to allow increased focus on the growth of passengers and drivers. This is delivered through increased use of self-serve technologies for drivers and passengers, as well as the introduction of automated communications technologies, and advanced geolocation techniques.

PLATFORM DETAILS

The system includes scheme membership management, and full facilities for the maintenance and management of passengers, drivers, and vehicles. Journey booking can be through co-ordinators, contact centres, or the passenger themselves through a dedicated passenger booking portal. The Dial-a-Ride service is able to accommodate both fully demand driven services, and for semi-scheduled dynamically routed services.

Thrive has a full billing platform allowing journeys to be automatically charged to a registered credit or debit card though an integration with a leading card payment processor.
