UK’S FIRST VLR CONFERENCE

TDI presented at the UK’s first light rail conference devoted to ‘Very Light Rail’ today. Hosted by WMG at the University of Warwick, and with keynote address by Steve Berry from the DfT, the conference showcased the Revolution and Coventry VLR demonstrator vehicles being developed by TDI and its supply chain partners. The conference was very well attended by representatives from various city councils as well as property developers, transport consultants, technology providers and other interested parties from around the country. It is hoped to repeat the event next year when both the Revolution and Coventry vehicles are complete, and entering their testing phase at the VLR National Innovation Centre at Dudley.
