Thackerayana - Notes and Anecdotes, illustrated by hundreds of sketches by William Makepeace Thackeray (depicting humorous incidents in his school life, and favorite scenes and characters in the books of his every-day reading). A very interesting book and enjoyable read.

The title is stamped in black along the front cover, with an illustration of the author in bright gold gilt. Along the spine, however, the title, publisher, and note six-hundred original sketches are all stamped in gold gilt. Rough cut paper along the fore edge.
