This is a low counter stool, STOL 18, initially designed by Philippe Starck in 2001. This particular example dates to the 2020s. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) asked Starck and Emeco to create a simple, minimalist stool for a Mies van der Rohe retrospective in New York, and STOL 18 was born. The lower height makes it ideal for standard kitchen islands and counters.
The stool is comprised from thermal treated recycled aluminum that has been hand brushed, and it has a padded black seat on top.
This stool measures 14 inches deep, 14 inches wide, and 18 inches high. It has a small black mark under its seat. Overall, the stool is in very good condition. Please see photos.
