Kelim Gashgai Rug

The Qashqai are Turkish-speaking nomadic tribes living in the region around Shiraz in southwestern Iran. Kilims are flatwoven wool rugs that can be used on both sides, featuring the traditional slit weave technique, which creates small gaps where colors change. These rugs are decorated with classic Qashqai motifs such as rhombuses, squares, stripes, and Caucasian star designs. Common colors include blue, yellow, red, green, and beige.
