The Battery Tender® PowerPlus™ 12V 26 Amp is engineered for both portable use and permanent on-board installation — equally at home as a wall-mounted shop charger or wired directly into a vessel or vehicle. The highest-output 12V model in the PowerPlus™ line, it delivers 26 Amp charging for large marine house batteries and commercial vehicle battery banks with IP68 waterproofing, UL marine ignition protection, and Battery Tender®'s ISM (Infinite Sequential Monitoring™) intelligence built in.

IP68: The Highest Waterproof Rating in the Battery Tender® Lineup

IP68 certification exceeds IP67 — providing complete dust protection and water immersion resistance at manufacturer-specified depth, typically 1.5 meters or greater. Where IP67 is suitable for outdoor mounting with rain and splash exposure, IP68 is the rating required for bilge-adjacent installation, submersible-environment mounting, and any location where prolonged water exposure is possible. The PowerPlus™ 12V 26 Amp can be permanently installed in locations that no other Battery Tender® charger can survive.

UL Marine Ignition Protection

In enclosed marine spaces — engine rooms, bilge compartments, fuel storage areas — electrical sparks can ignite fuel vapors with catastrophic results. UL marine ignition protection is an independent certification that the PowerPlus™ 12V 26 Amp will not produce a spark capable of igniting a fuel vapor mixture during normal operation or connection. This certification is a requirement for any charging device installed in an enclosed marine space and is not found on standard portable chargers.

Multi-Chemistry: Lead-Acid and Lithium

A chemistry selector delivers the correct ISM charging profile for either lead-acid (flooded, AGM, GEL, sealed MF) or Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. As marine vessels transition from lead-acid to Lithium house battery systems, the PowerPlus™ 12V 26 Amp supports both chemistries at full 26 Amp output without requiring a charger change.
